Quick answer
- The best Caribbean all-inclusive resorts for most US travelers in 2026: Hammock Cove (Antigua) for luxury adults-only, Beaches Turks & Caicos for families, Couples Swept Away (Jamaica) for couples on a budget, and Sandals Grenada or Spice Island Beach Resort if you want a quieter, smaller island.
- Cheapest all-inclusive islands: the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana) and Jamaica have the most resorts and the most price competition; Barceló Bávaro Palace is our value pick with 1,402 rooms and a Tripadvisor score of 4.0 from 34,685 reviews.
- Lowest hurricane exposure: Aruba and Curaçao sit outside the main hurricane belt; Grenada, Barbados and St. Vincent are farther south than most islands. NOAA's season runs June 1 to November 30 and peaks around September 10.
- No passport needed for US citizens: the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Every other island in this guide needs a valid passport.
- Islands with no true all-inclusive: St. Kitts (only optional packages at the St. Kitts Marriott), Anguilla (Aurora Anguilla lists no all-inclusive offer on its official site) and St. Barts. The BVI has a handful of tiny, expensive private-island options.
- Jamaica is mostly back after Category 5 Hurricane Melissa (October 28, 2025): Sandals reopened five hotels in December 2025, and resorts such as Royalton Blue Waters reopened in September 2026, but check your specific resort's status.
Our verdict
Our verdict: pick the island first, then the resort
Most bad Caribbean all-inclusive trips start with the wrong island, not the wrong hotel. If your budget is tight, go where competition is fiercest: Punta Cana or Jamaica, where big resorts such as Barceló Bávaro Palace discount hard outside peak weeks. If you are a couple and can spend more, the smaller southern islands give you better scenery and fewer crowds: Sandals Grenada (Tripadvisor 4.6 from 6,389 reviews) and the newer Sandals Saint Vincent (4.7) are the two Sandals we would choose over the big Jamaican ones for a quieter trip, and Spice Island Beach Resort on Grand Anse is the best small luxury all-inclusive we found. For a no-compromise splurge, Hammock Cove in Antigua (4.8 from 510 reviews, 50 villas with private pools) is the pick. Families should book Beaches Turks & Caicos for the beach and the kids' programming, and accept that value is its weakest score. Our opinions are based on Tripadvisor and booking-site review patterns, official resort facts and current 2026 news, not on paid stays.

Caribbean all-inclusive resorts, island by island
The table below compares 18 islands on the five things that decide most all-inclusive trips: price, who the island suits, flight time, hurricane exposure and passport rules. Flight times are approximate nonstop times from Miami and New York where nonstops exist; smaller islands often need a connection.
Three patterns stand out:
- Volume equals value. The Dominican Republic and Jamaica have the most all-inclusive rooms, so they have the most sales. Start with our Dominican Republic, Punta Cana and Jamaica guides if price matters most.
- Small islands cost more and feel more personal. Antigua, St. Lucia, Grenada and St. Vincent have fewer, smaller resorts with higher nightly rates and quieter beaches. See our Antigua and St. Lucia guides.
- Some islands are not all-inclusive islands at all. Anguilla, St. Barts, St. Kitts and most of the British Virgin Islands are built around small hotels, villas and restaurants. If you insist on an all-inclusive there, you will pay a premium for a narrow choice.
If you want short flights and are flexible on style, the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos are one to two hours from Miami. If you want to avoid storms in late summer, Aruba and Curaçao are the safest bets. If you do not have a passport, only the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico work, and both have very few true all-inclusives.

1Best luxury adults-only
Hammock Cove Antigua
Northeast coast, Antigua (next to Devil's Bridge National Park)
$750–$1,400 per night for two · Published nightly range on all-inclusive-guide.com (updated July 2026); occupancy not stated
Our take
Hammock Cove is the resort we would book for a once-in-a-decade Caribbean trip. All 50 accommodations are private villas with their own infinity-edge plunge pools, there are three restaurants and three bars, and Tripadvisor reviewers give it 4.8 out of 5 from 510 reviews, with perfect 5.0 sub-scores for rooms, service and cleanliness. That level of consistency is rare in the Caribbean, where even excellent resorts usually show some complaints about food or housekeeping.
What you give up is choice and a big social scene. Three restaurants are plenty for a week, but not for a fortnight, and the northeast coast is about 25 minutes from the airport and far from St. John's nightlife. Value is its lowest sub-score at 4.5, which tells you exactly what reviewers think: superb, and priced like it. If you want a livelier Antigua resort or a better swimming beach, look at the other picks in our Antigua guide.
Skip it if You want a long swimming beach, lots of restaurants or a lively bar scene.
Our category scores
Pros
- Every one of the 50 villas has a private infinity plunge pool
- Tripadvisor 4.8 with 5.0 sub-scores for rooms, service and cleanliness
- Adults-only, small and quiet
- About 25 minutes from V.C. Bird International Airport
Cons
- Among the most expensive all-inclusives in the Caribbean
- Only three restaurants
- Remote northeast location with a bumpy access road reported by guests
- Accommodation
- 50 private villas, each with an infinity plunge pool
- Dining
- 3 restaurants, 3 bars
- Pool
- Three-tier infinity pool plus villa pools
- Airport transfer
- About 25 minutes from V.C. Bird International (ANU)
What guests say
Being able to take a dip in our own private infinity pool every morning was the best way to start the day.
They truly treat every guests like you're the only one there.
The small number of lower scores focus on value rather than quality, and one spring 2026 reviewer marked the stay down over a safety concern and the bumpy road to the resort's remote corner of the island.
2Best for families
Beaches Turks and Caicos
Grace Bay, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos

Our take
If you are taking children to the Caribbean and can afford it, this is still the resort to beat. It sits on Grace Bay, it is the largest Beaches resort at around 858 rooms and suites, and it has more kids' programming, water-park space and nightly entertainment than any other Caribbean all-inclusive we reviewed. On March 1, 2026 it opened Treasure Beach Village, a US$150 million addition with 101 suites, six new dining concepts, a 32-seat cinema and a 15,000-square-foot lagoon-style pool, so the newest rooms are genuinely new.
The catch is price and consistency. Tripadvisor rates it 4.3 from 17,041 reviews, and its value sub-score (3.9) ties Barceló Bávaro Palace's for the weakest on this list. Reviewers praise the beach and the activities, and some complain about dated rooms in older villages and housekeeping lapses. Book a room in a newer village if you can, and go in late spring or early December to soften the price. Our Turks & Caicos guide has alternatives.
Skip it if You are a couple without kids, or you want a quiet, small resort.
Our category scores
Pros
- Grace Bay is one of the Caribbean's best beaches
- Huge kids' and teens' programming and nightly entertainment
- Treasure Beach Village (opened March 1, 2026) adds 101 new suites
- Short flights from the US East Coast
Cons
- Very expensive, especially in school holidays
- Value is its weakest Tripadvisor sub-score (3.9)
- Older rooms and occasional housekeeping lapses in reviews
- Size
- About 858 rooms and suites (after the 2026 expansion)
- Newest section
- Treasure Beach Village, opened March 1, 2026
- New in 2026
- Six dining concepts, 32-seat cinema, 15,000 sq ft lagoon pool
- Beach
- Grace Bay
What guests say
The amount of activities for kids, and nightly entertainment was superb.
Luxury is a marketing slogan here, not a standard.
Families consistently praise the amenities, beach and cleanliness, but a recurring minority says rooms in older sections feel dated and that the high prices are not always matched by room quality or service.

3Best small luxury resort
Spice Island Beach Resort
Grand Anse Beach, Grenada
Our take
Spice Island is the small, grown-up luxury all-inclusive we would book on a Caribbean island most people have not yet visited. It has just 64 suites, all on two floors or fewer, on Grand Anse, Grenada's best-known beach, and many suites have private pools. Tripadvisor reviewers rate it 4.8 from 1,239 reviews, and the praise is unusually personal: guests write about staff who remember them and a stay that feels intimate rather than resort-scale.
It is not a party resort and it is not cheap. The all-inclusive rate covers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and a standard minibar, but bottled wine and champagne are extra, and some premium brands are excluded. Several 2026 reviewers who had stayed before say prices have climbed to the point where they may not return, and one August guest complained about loud music from offshore party boats during Grenada's Carnival. Avoid Carnival week in August if you want quiet, and book it as a calm, food-focused week rather than a nonstop activity holiday.
Skip it if You want a big pool scene, lots of restaurants or nightly shows.
Our category scores
Pros
- Only 64 suites, so it never feels crowded
- Right on Grand Anse Beach
- Many suites have private pools
- 10 minutes from the airport
Cons
- Bottled wine, champagne and some premium brands cost extra
- Price rises in 2026 drew complaints from repeat guests
- Can be noisy during Grenada's August Carnival
- Suites
- 64, on two floors or fewer (no lifts)
- Restaurants
- Oliver's Restaurant and Sea & Surf Terrace & Bar
- All-inclusive covers
- Three meals, afternoon tea, standard minibar, golf club membership
- Airport transfer
- About 10 minutes (not included)
What guests say
It felt like a personalized experience , truly an intimate one.
We have stayed here multiple times and really liked it, but given the current prices I can't see us returning.
The music was very loud and the boom-boom-boom of the bass and drums drove us crazy.
4Best Sandals off the beaten path
Sandals Grenada
Pink Gin Beach, Point Salines, Grenada
$550–$1,000 per night for two · Entry-level rooms, 2 adults, all-inclusive, low to high season; published ranges on all-inclusive-guide.com, August 2026
Our take
Sandals Grenada is the Sandals we recommend to couples who have done Jamaica and want something quieter. It sits on a hillside above Pink Gin Beach, about four minutes from Maurice Bishop International Airport, with roughly 250 rooms in three villages, 10 restaurants, 6 bars and included scuba diving for certified divers. Tripadvisor reviewers give it 4.6 from 6,389 reviews, with cleanliness and location both at 4.8, which is higher than several of the big Jamaican Sandals.
Two cautions. First, the room category matters more than usual: the older Pink Gin village rooms draw recurring complaints about size and musty air, while the South Seas and Skypool suites are among the best rooms Sandals sells anywhere. Second, Pink Gin Beach is a small, sheltered cove rather than a long sweep of sand, so if the beach is your top priority, Grand Anse resorts such as Spice Island are better. There are also a few very negative reviews about staff attitude. But for food variety, included diving and a short transfer, this is excellent value by Sandals standards.
Skip it if You want a long beach walk or you are traveling with children.
Our category scores
Pros
- Tripadvisor 4.6 from 6,389 reviews
- About four minutes from the airport
- 10 restaurants and included scuba diving for certified divers
- Excellent top-tier suites (South Seas, Skypool)
Cons
- Older Pink Gin village rooms draw complaints
- Pink Gin Beach is small
- Couples only: no solo travelers or children
- Rooms
- About 250 in three hillside villages
- Dining
- 10 restaurants, 6 bars
- Pools
- 5 pools plus 2 whirlpools
- Airport transfer
- About 4 minutes from GND, included
What guests say
I highly recommend the Sandals Grenada. They make you feel like you’re right at home and very special.
We were treated very badly by most of the resort staff; ignored, looked at with disdain, dismissed
Recent guests rate the food above the Sandals average and love the included diving, but the older Pink Gin village rooms attract repeated complaints about tired finishes, small bathrooms and musty smells.
5Best new Caribbean resort
Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Buccament Bay, St. Vincent
Our take
Sandals Saint Vincent opened at Buccament Bay in March 2024 and has quickly become one of the best-reviewed Sandals resorts: Tripadvisor 4.7 from 1,893 reviews, with 1,553 of those rated Excellent. It has 321 rooms, 11 dining options including a Butch's Island Chophouse, 9 bars and 4 pools, on a cove backed by forested hills. The appeal is St. Vincent itself: a green, volcanic island with far fewer tourists than St. Lucia or Antigua, and the Grenadines on the doorstep.
The trade-offs are access and price. The transfer from Argyle International Airport is about 40 minutes, and flights to St. Vincent are fewer and pricier than to Antigua or Barbados. It is also priced near the top of the Sandals range. In return you get a resort where the written reviews are overwhelmingly about staff going above and beyond. Note that the resort is still expanding: 20 Rondoval Butler Villas with private pools are due on November 1, 2026, so early-November stays may coincide with finishing work.
Skip it if You want the shortest possible trip door to door or a famous white-sand beach.
Our category scores
Pros
- Tripadvisor 4.7, among the highest-rated Sandals
- 11 dining options and 9 bars for 321 rooms
- An island far less visited than its neighbors
- New Rondoval Butler Villas from November 1, 2026
Cons
- About 40 minutes from Argyle International Airport
- Fewer and pricier flights than to bigger islands
- Possible construction activity around new villa openings
- Opened
- March 2024

- Dining
- 11 dining options, 9 bars

What guests say
The staff was the best staff that we've encountered at any location.
Amazing place! Atmosphere, food and service.
The rating breakdown is not flawless: 69 of 1,893 Tripadvisor ratings are Poor or Terrible, so a small minority of guests leave unhappy even though the recent written reviews are almost all about outstanding staff.

6Best couples value
Couples Swept Away
Seven Mile Beach, Negril, Jamaica
$485–$857 per night for two · Tripadvisor average standard-room rate range for 2 adults, taxes excluded, shown October 2026
Our take
Couples Swept Away is the adults-only Caribbean all-inclusive we recommend when a couple wants a great beach and lots to do without paying Antigua or Turks & Caicos prices. It has 312 rooms on Negril's Seven Mile Beach, six restaurants plus a café, eight bars and a sports complex with a seven-lane training pool, and Tripadvisor reviewers rate it 4.4 from 8,017 reviews. The beach and the service come up again and again in recent reviews.
It is not perfect. Tripadvisor's rooms and value sub-scores are both 4.0, below the luxury resorts on this list, and repeat guests single out the beach grill as the weakest restaurant. The transfer from Montego Bay is about 90 minutes, and western Jamaica took the brunt of Hurricane Melissa in October 2025, so read reviews from the last couple of months before you book. Recent October 2026 reviews describe a resort running normally, with staff praised across housekeeping, bars and restaurants. More options are in our Jamaica guide.
Skip it if You want a short transfer or luxury-level rooms.
Our category scores
Pros
- On Seven Mile Beach, one of Jamaica's best
- Big sports complex and lots of included activities
- Couples-only, less expensive than most luxury picks
- Consistently praised service
Cons
- About 90 minutes from Montego Bay airport
- Tripadvisor sub-scores of 4.0 for rooms and value
- The beach grill draws repeat complaints
- Rooms
- 312
- Dining
- 6 restaurants plus Java Cafe, 8 bars
- Pools
- 3, including a 7-lane training pool, plus 5 jacuzzis
- Airport transfer
- About 1 hour 30 minutes from Montego Bay (MBJ)
What guests say
This beach has to be one of the best in the Caribbean.
The one restaurant that continues to disappoint us is the grill.
The service was fantastic from house keeping, guest services, bar and restaurant staff.
7Best-rated in Jamaica
Sandals Dunn's River
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
$792–$1,537 per night for two · Tripadvisor average standard-room rate range for 2 adults, taxes excluded, shown October 2026
Our take
Sandals Dunn's River is the highest-rated Sandals in Jamaica on Tripadvisor right now, at 4.8 from 2,241 reviews, with 5.0 sub-scores for rooms, service and cleanliness. It sits on Jamaica's north coast near Ocho Rios, a region that came through Hurricane Melissa in better shape than the far west, and it has 12 dining options, 9 bars, two pools and two river pools. Recent reviews praise private rondoval rooms, spotless housekeeping and entertainment staff by name.
It edges Sandals Grenada and Saint Vincent on our overall score, but we still point couples who want a quieter trip to those two islands because of logistics and setting: it is about 90 minutes by road from Montego Bay airport, and Ocho Rios is a busy cruise port, so day trips can feel crowded. One October 2026 reviewer also said the air conditioning would not cool the room below 72°F, so ask for a room change quickly if yours runs warm. If you want Jamaica, a large choice of restaurants and the best current reviews of any Sandals on the island, this is the one we would book. Compare it with others in our Jamaica all-inclusive guide.
Skip it if You want a quiet island or a short airport transfer.
Our category scores
Pros
- Tripadvisor 4.8 from 2,241 reviews
- 12 dining options and 9 bars
- Private rondoval rooms praised in reviews
- North-coast location near Dunn's River Falls
Cons
- About 90 minutes from Montego Bay airport
- Ocho Rios is a busy cruise-ship port
- Isolated reports of weak air conditioning
- Dining
- 12 dining options, 9 bars
- Pools
- 2 pools and 2 river pools
- Airport transfer
- About 90 minutes from Sangster International (MBJ)
What guests say
It was always clean thanks to our housekeeper Tameka. The rondoval room is very private and quiet.
The air conditioner never got the room below 22c (72f) degrees no matter how low we set it
8Best family option on a small island
Royalton Grenada, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
Tamarind Bay, St. George's, Grenada
Our take
Royalton Grenada is the main reason a family can consider Grenada at all. It has 269 rooms and suites on two beaches in Tamarind Bay, three pools including a kids' splash pad, the Clubhouse kids' club for ages 4 to 12, and it is about 10 minutes from the airport; a repeat visitor on the Tripadvisor forum puts the taxi fare at roughly $10 to $15 per vehicle. Since the Marriott-Royalton tie-up it carries Marriott's Autograph Collection branding, which matters if you collect Bonvoy points.
The reviews are among the most mixed on this list. Tripadvisor rates it 4.2 from 3,603 reviews, with 415 Poor or Terrible ratings, and the summary of guest feedback is consistent: people like the beachfront and the welcoming atmosphere, find the rooms basic, and split on service and value. Two October 2026 reviewers raised food-handling concerns. We would book it for a family week with realistic expectations, choose a Diamond Club room for better service, and plan a couple of dinners out in Grand Anse. Couples should pick Sandals Grenada or Spice Island instead.
Skip it if You are a couple who wants polished service; Sandals Grenada or Spice Island are better.
Our category scores
Pros
- Kids' club for ages 4–12 and a splash pad

What guests say

Food serving and preperatuon are putting guests at risk.
Guests like the beachfront location and welcoming atmosphere, describe the rooms as basic, and are split on both service and value for money; some praise butlers by name while others report unavailable butlers and indifferent staff.

9Best cheap all-inclusive
Barceló Bávaro Palace
Bávaro beach, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
$240–$656 per night for two · Tripadvisor average standard-room rates, taxes excluded, viewed October 2026
Our take
Barceló Bávaro Palace is our pick for the cheapest decent Caribbean all-inclusive, with eyes open. It is enormous, at 1,402 rooms, which is exactly why it is cheap: it can run constant promotions, has water parks, many pools and restaurants, and sits on a long stretch of Bávaro beach. Tripadvisor rates it 4.0 from 34,685 reviews, with location at 4.5 and value and service at 3.9, and families and groups on a budget keep coming back.
The caveats are real. Recent reviews complain about buffet quality, maintenance in some rooms, dinner reservations that fill early and staff who seem to prefer Spanish-speaking guests. Sargassum seaweed can discolor the water in summer, and one October 2026 reviewer described the sea as brown. Tripadvisor has also posted a notice that it is investigating possible interference with reviews and rankings for this property, so we base our view on the written 2026 reviews rather than the headline score. Book a renovated or premium-level room, travel between December and April for the clearest water, and set expectations at good-value, not luxury. For alternatives, see our Punta Cana guide.
Skip it if You want a quiet, intimate resort or consistent fine dining.
Our category scores
Pros
- Very competitive prices and frequent sales
- Huge range of pools, water parks and restaurants
- Long, wide Bávaro beach
- Lots of nonstop flights to Punta Cana

10Only all-inclusive option on St. Kitts
St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort, Casino & Spa
Frigate Bay, St. Kitts
$440–$750 per night for two · 2 people with the optional all-inclusive package, low to high season (excluding Christmas peak); published ranges on all-inclusive-guide.com, August 2026
Our take
If you search for St. Kitts all-inclusive resorts, this is the answer, with an asterisk. The St. Kitts Marriott is a 389-room resort on Frigate Bay with three pools, a 15,000-square-foot spa, the 35,000-square-foot Royal Beach Casino and the Royal St. Kitts golf course next door. It is not all-inclusive by default; it sells an optional all-inclusive package on top of a room rate, at roughly $130 to $180 per person per night in 2026 published ranges (confirm the current price with Marriott), covering three meals, snacks and standard drinks. Premium spirits, bottles of wine, the minibar, the kids' club and airport transfers are excluded.
We include it because it is the only realistic option on the island, not because it is a top Caribbean all-inclusive. The building dates from 2003 and reviews say it shows: Trip.com guests rate it 8.4 out of 10 from 96 reviews, but a July 2026 reviewer called the property run down. The Atlantic-side beach is breezy, with surf and seasonal sargassum. Book it if you want St. Kitts plus a casino and golf; otherwise a true all-inclusive in Antigua is a short hop away.
Skip it if You want a true all-inclusive where every drink and activity is covered.
Our category scores
Pros
- Only all-inclusive package on St. Kitts
- Casino, spa and golf course on site or next door
- 10–15 minutes from the airport
- Earns Marriott Bonvoy points
Cons
- All-inclusive is an add-on with many exclusions
- Dated rooms in a 2003 building
- Atlantic beach with surf and seasonal sargassum
- Rooms
- 389 (about 320 rooms and 69 suites)
- All-inclusive
- Optional add-on, roughly $130–180 per person per night

Best all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean by traveler type
Best overall luxury: Hammock Cove, Antigua
Fifty villas, each with its own infinity plunge pool, three restaurants and a Tripadvisor score of 4.8 from 510 reviews. It is adults-only and expensive, and it is the one resort on this list where we saw almost no complaints about food or service. More Antigua options are in our Antigua all-inclusive guide.
Best for families: Beaches Turks & Caicos
Grace Bay is one of the best beaches in the region, and the resort added Treasure Beach Village, a US$150 million expansion with 101 suites, six new dining concepts and a 32-seat cinema, on March 1, 2026 (TravelPulse). Value is its weakest Tripadvisor sub-score (3.9).
Best couples value: Couples Swept Away, Jamaica
A 312-room couples resort on Negril's Seven Mile Beach with a big sports complex and a Tripadvisor score of 4.4 from 8,017 reviews. It costs noticeably less than the luxury picks above.
Best smaller-island escape: Sandals Grenada or Sandals Saint Vincent
Both are adults-only couples resorts on islands that see far fewer visitors than Jamaica or the Bahamas. Grenada is four minutes from the airport; St. Vincent is about 40 minutes.
Best cheap Caribbean all-inclusive: Barceló Bávaro Palace, Punta Cana
A huge resort on Bávaro beach with water parks, many restaurants and constant promotions. Expect uneven service and buffet food; that is the trade-off at this price level.

Cheap and affordable Caribbean all-inclusive resorts: where the value really is
The cheapest Caribbean all-inclusives are almost always in the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana, Bávaro, La Romana, Puerto Plata) and Jamaica (Montego Bay, Negril, Runaway Bay). Both have dozens of large resorts, many nonstop flights from US cities, and charter-style package pricing. Mexico's Caribbean coast is the other big value market; see our Cancun guide.
How to get an affordable all-inclusive in the Caribbean
- Book shoulder season. Late April to early June, and November before Thanksgiving, usually beat winter prices without peak hurricane risk.
- Accept a bigger resort. Properties with 1,000-plus rooms, such as Barceló Bávaro Palace (1,402 rooms), can discount more aggressively than 50-villa boutiques.
- Compare package and hotel-only prices. Flight-plus-hotel bundles to Punta Cana and Montego Bay are often cheaper than booking each part separately.
- Read the recent reviews, not the average. At the budget end, the gap between a good and a bad week is service and maintenance. Tripadvisor has posted a notice on Barceló Bávaro Palace's page saying it is investigating possible interference with reviews, so we weigh the written 2026 reviews more than the score.
Where not to look for cheap
Anguilla, St. Barts, the BVI and Turks & Caicos are among the most expensive places in the region. Grenada and St. Vincent sit in the middle: you pay more than in Punta Cana, but less than in Turks & Caicos for comparable Sandals product. Our cheap all-inclusive resorts and deals pages track current sales.

Adults-only vs. family all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean
Adults-only Caribbean all-inclusives
The Caribbean is the home of the couples-only resort. Sandals (all adults-only couples resorts), Couples Resorts in Jamaica, Elite Island Resorts in Antigua and dozens of adults-only Hyatt, Excellence and Secrets properties mean you have more adults-only choice here than anywhere else. Our shortlist splits by budget:
| Budget | Our pick | Island |
|---|---|---|
| Splurge | Hammock Cove | Antigua |
| Upper mid-range | Sandals Saint Vincent | St. Vincent |
| Mid-range | Sandals Grenada | Grenada |
| Value | Couples Swept Away | Jamaica |
For the full list, see our adults-only all-inclusive resorts and couples and honeymoon guides.
Family all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean
Families have fewer great options than couples, and they cluster on a few islands. Beaches Turks & Caicos is the benchmark, with the most kids' programming of any Caribbean all-inclusive we reviewed. Royalton Grenada has a kids' club for ages 4 to 12, three pools including a splash pad, and a 10-minute airport transfer. Punta Cana's mega-resorts, including Barceló Bávaro Palace, are the budget choice. Our family all-inclusive resorts guide goes deeper.
One warning for families: kids' clubs on small islands often have limited hours, and at the St. Kitts Marriott the kids' club can cost extra even on its all-inclusive package.
Grenada all-inclusive resorts: Sandals, Royalton and Spice Island
Grenada has no dedicated page on our site yet, so here is the short version. The island has three all-inclusives worth considering, all within about 10 minutes of Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) on the southwest tip:
- Sandals Grenada (adults-only couples): about 250 rooms in three hillside villages above Pink Gin Beach, 6 bars and, per Sandals, 10 specialty restaurants and free scuba diving for PADI-certified guests. Tripadvisor 4.6 from 6,389 reviews.
- Spice Island Beach Resort (luxury, all ages): 64 suites on Grand Anse Beach, many with private pools, and an all-inclusive rate that covers all meals, afternoon tea and a standard minibar, but not bottled wine or champagne (Virgin Atlantic). Tripadvisor 4.8 from 1,239 reviews.
- Royalton Grenada, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort (families, mid-range): 269 rooms on two beaches in Tamarind Bay, three pools and a kids' club. Tripadvisor 4.2 from 3,603 reviews.
Grenada is also a food island. Regulars on the Tripadvisor Grenada forum push visitors to eat roti and local dishes in Grand Anse rather than stay inside a resort all week, so a mid-week dinner out is worth budgeting for.
Getting there is easier than many people think. Grenada's tourism authority promotes Delta's direct flight from Atlanta alongside Air Canada service, and American flies from Miami. Grenada sits well south of the main hurricane track, but it is not immune: Hurricane Beryl hit its sister island Carriacou hard in July 2024.

St. Vincent and St. Kitts all-inclusive resorts: one real option each
St. Vincent: Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
St. Vincent's only big all-inclusive is Sandals Saint Vincent, which opened at Buccament Bay in March 2024. It has 321 rooms, 11 dining options, 9 bars and 4 pools, and sits about 40 minutes from Argyle International Airport (Virgin Atlantic). It is expanding again: 20 Rondoval Butler Villas with private pools are due to welcome guests on November 1, 2026 (Breaking Travel News).
The planned family-friendly Beaches resort for St. Vincent is not close. A May 2026 report says large-scale construction is now expected around 2029 (One News St. Vincent). If you see it advertised for 2027, treat it with suspicion.
St. Kitts: no true all-inclusive, one optional package
As of 2026 there is no purpose-built, all-inclusive-by-default resort on St. Kitts or Nevis. The St. Kitts Marriott on Frigate Bay (389 rooms, casino, spa, golf next door) sells all-inclusive rates alongside its room-only rates (booking sites such as Expedia list both), and Nisbet Plantation on Nevis sells a meal plan on top of room-and-breakfast, according to the independent directory all-inclusive-guide.com. Confirm the current inclusions with each hotel before you book. The Park Hyatt St. Kitts and Koi Resort are room-only, whatever some booking sites label them. A rumored Sandals St. Kitts has no announced site or date.

Anguilla, St. Barts and BVI all-inclusive resorts: mostly a myth
These three are among the most searched Caribbean all-inclusive destinations, and they have the fewest true all-inclusives.
Anguilla and Aurora Anguilla
Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club (the former CuisinArt) is often listed as an all-inclusive on booking sites. Its official offers page, checked in October 2026, lists only a "Discover Aurora" discount of up to 40% and a golf package with a grab-and-go breakfast; neither includes all meals and drinks (Aurora Anguilla). Some tour operators sell meal-inclusive rates at Anguilla resorts, so if you want one, get the inclusions in writing. Otherwise, Anguilla is an island to eat out on.
St. Barts
We could not find a single St. Barts hotel selling a true all-inclusive rate as of October 2026. The island's hotels are small, luxury and sold room-only or with breakfast. If you want St. Barts, budget for restaurants; if you want all-inclusive, pick another island.
British Virgin Islands
The BVI is a sailing destination with a few tiny, high-end inclusive options:
- The Aerial on Buck Island, off Tortola, sells individual rooms on an all-inclusive rate that covers chef-prepared meals, house wine and cocktails, daily activities and transfers from Tortola; premium drinks and the spa cost extra. It has 16 rooms for up to 32 guests, and exclusive use starts at $20,000 a night in low season (The Aerial FAQ).
- Guana Island rates include three meals a day plus wine with lunch and dinner, according to its villa listings (Isle Blue).
- Peter Island Resort reopened in late 2024 after years of rebuilding following Hurricane Irma (Luxury Travel Advisor), but the packages we saw include breakfast, not a full all-inclusive.
For most travelers, a crewed charter yacht is the BVI's real all-inclusive.

Best time to go and hurricane risk in the Caribbean
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with most activity from mid-August to mid-October and a statistical peak around September 10, according to the National Hurricane Center. That does not make the season a write-off, but it changes where you should go.
Hurricane exposure by island
- Lowest: Aruba and Curaçao (south, outside the main belt).
- Lower: Grenada, Barbados, St. Vincent and Trinidad and Tobago, though Hurricane Beryl in 2024 showed the southern islands can be hit.
- Higher: the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, St. Martin, Anguilla, Antigua and St. Kitts, which sit in the path of storms coming off Africa.
- Jamaica: Category 5 Hurricane Melissa made landfall near New Hope, Westmoreland on October 28, 2025, with 185 mph winds, the strongest recorded storm to hit Jamaica (Wikipedia). Montego Bay's airport terminal was damaged and around 40 to 50% of hotels were damaged. Sandals reopened five Jamaican hotels in December 2025, and others followed through 2026.
When to book
December to April is dry, busy and expensive everywhere. May, June and November are the best balance of price and weather. If you must travel in August to October, buy travel insurance before a storm is named, and pick Aruba, Curaçao or the southern islands.

Passports, flights and transfers
Passports
US citizens need a valid passport for every island in this guide except the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, which are US territories. That includes the British Virgin Islands, even though the BVI is a short ferry ride from St. Thomas. Check the expiry date: several islands expect the passport to be valid for your full stay, and airlines can refuse boarding if it is not.
Flights
- Under 2 hours from Miami: Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Jamaica, Cayman.
- 2 to 3 hours from Miami: Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, USVI, Aruba, Curaçao, St. Martin.
- 3 to 4-plus hours from Miami: Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent.
- Usually a connection: Anguilla (often via St. Martin), St. Barts (via St. Martin), BVI (via San Juan or a ferry from St. Thomas).
Transfers
Transfer time is the hidden cost of a cheap flight. Sandals Grenada is about four minutes from its airport and Spice Island about 10, while Couples Swept Away is 90 minutes from Montego Bay and Sandals Saint Vincent about 40 minutes from Argyle. Hammock Cove is about 25 minutes from Antigua's airport.
Mistakes to avoid when booking a Caribbean all-inclusive
- Trusting the "all-inclusive" filter. Booking sites tag the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, Koi Resort and Aurora Anguilla as all-inclusive when their standard rates are not. Open the rate details and look for "all meals and drinks".
- Assuming every drink is included. At Spice Island, bottled wine and champagne cost extra; at The Aerial, premium and top-shelf drinks do; at the St. Kitts Marriott, the package excludes premium spirits, bottles of wine and the minibar.
- Ignoring the beach type. Atlantic-facing beaches such as Frigate Bay in St. Kitts are breezier, with more surf and more seasonal sargassum, than Caribbean-side beaches.
- Booking a big resort without reading 2026 reviews. Large resorts change fast. Read the last few months of reviews and look for patterns in food, maintenance and staffing.
- Forgetting the room category. At Sandals Grenada, the older Pink Gin village rooms draw the most complaints, while the South Seas and Skypool suites draw the most praise. The same resort can feel like two different hotels.
- Skipping travel insurance in hurricane season. Buy it when you book, not when a storm appears on the forecast.

What travel-forum regulars say
Travel-forum consensus
Forum regulars push back on the idea that every Caribbean island is an all-inclusive island. On the Tripadvisor Grenada forum, a September 2026 question about the best resort for foodies drew replies saying Grenada does not really have package-style resorts and that dining around Grand Anse is the best part of a trip, so even all-inclusive guests should plan meals out. Practical tips are common too: for Royalton Grenada, locals and repeat visitors say the airport is a 10 to 15 minute walk but recommend a taxi with luggage, at roughly $10 to $15 per vehicle. On the Jamaica forum, the post-Hurricane Melissa conversation in autumn 2026 is about which resorts have reopened and whether recent reviews reflect current conditions; regulars flagged that Royalton Blue Waters reopened on September 15, 2026 and warned that staffing could lag, while praising freshly refurbished RIU properties. The consistent advice: read the last 60 days of reviews, not the overall score.
Asked which Grenada resort is best for foodies, regulars said the island does not really have package-holiday resorts and recommended staying near Grand Anse and eating out, including roti and other local dishes.
A first-timer asked whether to walk from Grenada's airport to Royalton Grenada. A local said the walk is 10 to 15 minutes on a good road; a repeat visitor said it was hard with bags and that taxis cost about $10 to $15 per vehicle.
The official reopening date for the Roylton Blue Waters was Sept. 15.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Caribbean island for an all-inclusive resort?
For most first-timers, Jamaica or the Dominican Republic: they have the most all-inclusive resorts, the most nonstop flights and the most competitive prices. For couples who want scenery and fewer crowds, Antigua, St. Lucia and Grenada are better. For families, Turks & Caicos (Beaches) and Punta Cana are the strongest. If your trip falls between August and October, Aruba and Curaçao are the safest weather bets because they sit outside the main hurricane belt.
What is the cheapest Caribbean island for an all-inclusive vacation?
The Dominican Republic is usually the cheapest, followed by Jamaica. Punta Cana alone has dozens of large resorts competing for the same travelers, and big properties such as Barceló Bávaro Palace (1,402 rooms) discount heavily outside the December to April peak. The most expensive islands are Anguilla, St. Barts, the British Virgin Islands and Turks & Caicos. For the best price, travel in late April to early June or in November before Thanksgiving.
Which Caribbean islands are outside the hurricane belt?
Aruba and Curaçao (and Bonaire) are generally considered outside the main hurricane belt because they lie far south, off the coast of Venezuela. Grenada, Barbados, St. Vincent and Trinidad and Tobago are farther south than most islands and are hit less often, but Hurricane Beryl in 2024 showed they are not immune. The Atlantic season runs June 1 to November 30, peaking around September 10, according to NOAA's National Hurricane Center.
Is Aurora Anguilla all-inclusive?
Not by default. Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club's official offers page, checked in October 2026, lists a Discover Aurora discount of up to 40% and a golf package with a grab-and-go breakfast, but no rate that includes all meals and drinks. Some booking sites and tour operators file it under all-inclusive or sell meal-inclusive rates, so read the rate details carefully and get the inclusions in writing before you pay.
Are there all-inclusive resorts in St. Kitts?
There is no true all-inclusive-by-default resort on St. Kitts or Nevis as of 2026. The St. Kitts Marriott on Frigate Bay sells an optional all-inclusive package on top of its room rate, covering three meals, snacks and standard drinks, but excluding premium spirits, bottled wine, the minibar, the kids' club and transfers. On Nevis, Nisbet Plantation sells a meal plan. The Park Hyatt St. Kitts and Koi Resort are room-only.
Does St. Barts have all-inclusive resorts?
No. We could not find a St. Barts hotel selling a true all-inclusive rate as of October 2026. The island's hotels are small luxury properties sold room-only or with breakfast, and the food scene is a big part of the appeal. If you want an all-inclusive near St. Barts, look at St. Martin, which has a handful, or fly on to Antigua, which has many.
Are there all-inclusive resorts in the British Virgin Islands?
Only a few, and they are small and expensive. The Aerial on Buck Island sells individual rooms on an all-inclusive rate that covers meals, house wine and cocktails, activities and transfers from Tortola, and Guana Island's rates include meals and wine. Peter Island reopened in late 2024 but the packages we saw include breakfast only. Many visitors treat a crewed yacht charter as the BVI's real all-inclusive.
Do I need a passport for a Caribbean all-inclusive?
Yes, for almost every island. US citizens can visit the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico without a passport because they are US territories, but those two have very few true all-inclusive resorts. Every other island in this guide, including the British Virgin Islands next door to St. Thomas, requires a valid passport. Check that it does not expire during your trip.
Is Jamaica safe to visit after Hurricane Melissa?
Most of Jamaica's resort areas were welcoming guests again in 2026. Category 5 Hurricane Melissa hit western Jamaica on October 28, 2025 and damaged around 40 to 50% of hotels, but Sandals reopened five resorts in December 2025 and others, such as Royalton Blue Waters, reopened through 2026. Western areas were hit hardest, so read reviews from the last two months and confirm your resort's status before booking.
What is the best Caribbean all-inclusive for families?
Beaches Turks & Caicos is the best all-round family all-inclusive in the Caribbean, with Grace Bay on its doorstep, extensive kids' and teens' programming and a new village that opened on March 1, 2026. It is expensive. For a cheaper family trip, Punta Cana's large resorts such as Barceló Bávaro Palace are the value option, and Royalton Grenada is a good choice if you want a smaller island with a kids' club.
